How to spin titles and time at jobs on resume?

My previous job (not current) ended after only 1 year because of a downsizing. That job was in a new career field, which I am trying to continue in. My current job is in the same field but not the job title/function I am looking for in the longer run (it's a "lower" job title than the previous one, because though I was hired with the same title as at previous job, they changed it almost immediately when they reorganized THEIR department). Other previous jobs were in a different field. Will it look bad on my resume that I was only there a year? Should I indicate somehow that it was a downsizing/reorganization? Will it look bad that my job title has "demoted" from one job to the next? How do I spin this when job-hunting? Thanks for your input!
