I have a crush and need help!?

I just moved here about 3 months ago and i already have to best friends in the world. I met one in FFA ( Im a devoted member) and she induced me to him he is the vice pres. I know what ur thinking FFA is for dorks but its not alot of hot guys are in it but i live in the country so that's all we have is FFA. But he is also is a awesome soccer player. He makes all A's and he is so nice. But every time i try to talk to him i say something and he says a sentence or two and that's it. But he talks to my other friends a whole bunch. I dint know what to do and he is really good so i don't want to seem like a slut which im not
