Is buying a small v6 ford ranger a wise decision for saving on gas?

I had a 97 ranger with 3.0 in it with a 5 speed 4 wheel drive and over-sized tires and i still pulled 20 mpg with it. so ya a ranger would be a good choice. If you can try to get the 3.0 i have had alot better luck with them than the 4.0.
